Andhra Pradesh Open School Society was established under the act of Andhra Pradesh Public societies on 20th February 1991. APOSS is the first open school society in the state. APOSS was inaugurated on the Ugadi Day. APOSS has a highly objective society to provide the higher education for the person who could not continue their study due to some reason. To provide continuing education for adult no-literates, working men and women to reinforce their functional literacy and not to allow them to relapse into illiteracy.
